Bloom Pop Prebiotic Soda • Strawberry Cream Review

When it comes to “healthy” sodas, I am a hard judge. I have tried more than my fair share of drinks that promise to taste like a treat while secretly tasting like disappointment in a can. So when Bloom Pop landed on my radar, I went in skeptical and came out genuinely surprised.

The Strawberry Cream flavor is exactly what it sounds like; sweet, creamy, and just strawberry enough to feel like a dessert without the guilt spiral that follows actual dessert. It is not too sweet, which is my biggest complaint about most flavored sodas. Either that or they have an incredibly artificial aftertaste. There is a fine line between “this tastes like a strawberry” and “this tastes like strawberry-scented cleaning supplies,” and Bloom Pop stays firmly on the right side of it.

But What! What Even Is a Prebiotic Soda?

Here is my honest confession: when I first picked this up I had absolutely no idea what prebiotic sodas are supposed to do for you. I bought it because it looked cute and the ingredients list did not overwhelm me. So naturally I had to look it up.

Prebiotics are essentially food for the good bacteria already living in your gut. Unlike probiotics which actually add bacteria, prebiotics feed what you already have and help it thrive. In theory this supports digestion, immune function, and overall gut health. Bloom Pop contains three grams of prebiotic fiber per can, which is a meaningful amount without being the kind of thing that sends you running for the bathroom twenty minutes later… and yes, that is a real concern with high fiber drinks that I feel obligated to mention because I am nothing if not honest.

The Ingredients Situation

This is where Bloom Pop actually earns its “healthy soda” title. The ingredient list is short, recognizable, and does not require a chemistry degree to understand. No artificial sweeteners, no sucralose aftertaste, no mystery ingredients with fifteen syllables. They use chicory root fiber as the prebiotic source, which is one of the most studied and well-tolerated prebiotic ingredients out there. For a can of soda that costs about the same as a gas station energy drink, the ingredient quality is genuinely impressive.

The Taste Test

Let me be real with you… I drank this at room temperature first by accident because I am that person, and it was still good. Cold it is even better. The carbonation level is medium, not the aggressive fizz that immediately makes you hiccup, which I personally appreciate. The strawberry cream flavor comes through immediately and lingers in a pleasant way rather than disappearing the second you swallow.

Is the Bloom Pop Strawberry Cream Prebiotic Soda Worth It?

At around $2.39 a can at Target, Bloom Pop is not an everyday cheap habit, but it is a reasonable treat that does not make you feel terrible about yourself afterward. If you are trying to cut back on regular soda, this is genuinely one of the better substitutes I have tried. It satisfies the craving without the crash, the artificial aftertaste, or the ingredient list that reads like a warning label.

Would I buy it again? Already on reorder along with some Bloom Energy drinks, because as a non-coffee drinker, this mama needs that daily boost of energy. As far as other Bloom Pop drinks, I hesitate to buy the other flavors because this one is just too darn good!
